Happy Holidays crafty friends!
Today’s card includes a fun and easy technique. Have you tried embossing Designer Series Paper (DSP) aka patterned paper? It’s fun and gives your paper texture and interest. The Feels Like Frost DSP has photorealistic images on one side and silver foil images on the other side. Don’t limit this DSP to holiday cards, I’ll show you how I used it to make a Sympathy card too. Keep reading to for more information, please.
Don’t you agree, the Feels Like Frost DSP is versatile for all your card making needs? So, don’t limit it to holiday cards and just a reminder this beautiful 6″X6″ DSP (48 sheets per pkg) is on the soon to be retired list and is available while supply lasts.
Both the Itty Bitty Greetings & Itty Bitty Christmas stamp sets have many sentiments. I love them because their small size allows for your card design to be the focal point and they’re small enough to cut out or use the Classic Label Punch to punch them out. If you’re a card maker, these belong in your craft stash. Directed to my 24/7 Online Store. You’ll find some tips on these cards after the Shopping List.

Today’s cards are your standard A2 sized cards, finished size is 5 1/2″ X 4 1/4″. I found I had a stash of Silver Edged Cards & Envelopes while I was cleaning and organizing my craft studio. Does that happen to you? I start to organize and then find something I forgot about and then I STOP to use it and the cleaning and organizing fall to the wayside? It happens to me far more than I’d like to admit. Anyway, the Silver Edged Cards and Envelopes are retired and no longer available, BUT you can easily add a Silver Foil cardstock layer for the same look as today’s cards.
Both of these cards use a sheet of the same photorealistic DSP, each is cut down to 5 1/4″ X 4″, just changed the orientation. One card orientation is in portrait and the other horizontal. The easy technique is simply to place the DSP into an embossing folder and run it through your cutting and embossing machine. I used the Winter Snow Embossing Folder on the Christmas card and the Evergreen Forest 3D Embossing Folder on the Sympathy card. It’s a cool effect!
Don’t forget the Feels Like Frost and the Winter Snow Embossing Folder are while supplies last so don’t wait to get yours. Here’s the link to the list: 2020 Holiday Catalog Retiring List
