Hello friends,

I stole the “bee-utiful” pun from my friend Kathleen.  Is it a pun, or what do you call it? My English teacher would be sad that I don’t remember.  Anyway, Kathleen made the comment on my Instagram post.  Are you on Instagram?  You can follow me there, just look for diy_stamping_fun.

I used the Honey Bee bundle to make a couple of  Mother’s Day cards.  There is a trend of bee themed items everywhere it seems this Spring. It’s been so popular that the Honey Bee bundle sold out almost immediately when it was first released in the Mini Catalog and was on backorder status for a couple of months.  Well, it’s back BUT it’s also on the retired list and once this batch sells out, it will be gone for good.  The Happy Mother’s Day sentiment is from the Dressed to Impress stamp set and die bundle.

Honey Bee Bundle Mother's Day Card

Honey Bee stamps and dies to be discontinued

Here’s another version.  This time I used a much sought after honeycomb embossing folder that Stampin Up! retired several years ago.  Glad I kept it in my crafty stash to use it on this card.

The embossing folder I used on this card is retired and no longer available.

I don’t have a tutorial for these cards because I think they’re pretty simple A2 standard sized cards.  The stamp sets and dies did all the work to make these quickly.  I actually made 10 of these and posted them for sale in my neighborhood Facebook group and sold all of them within 2 hours.  There’s a beautiful honey bee farm and boutique a few blocks from our neighborhood so I guess that helped too.  PLUS, we are still in shelter-in-place and going out for essentials only.

You could make these cards with for many occasions, just switch out the sentiment for birthday, get well, miss you and hello!

Well,  that’s it for me – have a great day!

Inky hugs,

KEEP IN THE LOOP
