What’s an ATC? The acronym stands for Artist Trading Card. I normally make greeting cards in A2 size or sometimes referred to as Invitation card size but I’ve recently returned to making ATCs to trade with a new group of local paper crafters. Here’s my latest trade. The theme of the month is Beach and/or Coastal.
ATCs are 2 1/2″ X 3 1/2″ in size. With the Stamp Club I recently joined we make 15 of the same ATC to trade with each other. Guys, that is small and that in itself is a challenge for me but it’s also fun to see what the other ladies create and we also learn different techniques from each other.
The Stamparatus made it easy for me to align the lighthouse since it takes 2 stamps to make the one light house. I first stamped in Real Red inkpad then stamped the shadow and lighthouse details in black. Masking was another technique I used on my ATC. I masked off the lighthouse to stamp the sea on both sides of the lighthouse. I stamped the waves in Pacific Point inkpad then stamped again without re-inking for lighter waves and just to add some depth. I used my Wink of Stella Clear Pen to add glitz to the sea and went over some of the waves with a white gel pen. Have you ever noticed how the sea sparkles in the sunlight? That’s why I used the Wink of Stella Pen. I hope the Stamp Club likes my ATC.
