I love Fall Weddings, don’t you? All the rich, regal and warm colors are abundant during fall and especially at Fall Weddings. Technically, Fall arrives on Sept 21, well at least on my calendar because it certainly doesn’t feel like fall with 85+ degree weather. Anyway, one of our nieces, Ashley is getting married on Sept 22 in Wisconsin.
Today’s card was inspired by Ashley’s & Weston’s invitation, which was the most beautiful one we’ve ever received. Their invitation had a pocket containing the RSVP cards, maps, sight-seeing information and lots of other information and the card base was a lovely burgundy so the naturally I chose Merry Merlot cardstock to make their Wedding Card. Here’s a photo of the the card insert as well as the envelope.
Keeping with the warm tones, I decided to use Very Vanilla cardstock for the insert and stamped the back of a Very Vanilla envelope. Did you know Stampin’ Up! carries Very Vanilla envelopes? I backed the pocket with Vellum so the card insert and gift card would not catch on the intricate die-cut.
- Merry Merlot: 5 1/2″ X 4 /14″, card pocket – 4 1/4″ X 3 1/2″
- Very Vanilla card insert: 5′ X 3 3/4″
- Vellum: 4 1/4″ X 3 1/2″
- Adhere the Vellum to the card pocket with liquid glue along the edges and then adhere the pocket to the card base.
- Stamp the Sentiment and greeting on the Very Vanilla card insert and use the Detailed Trio Punch to round the corners.
- Add a few pearls to a few floral centers and insert the card insert into the pocket.
