I’m declaring today Wow Wednesday! Why? Because I created over 10 different cards in one stamping session with the Waterfront Stamp Set. I admit that when I received the Occasions catalog I was not impressed with it and it was NOT on my Wish List. But then, I started seeing what other demonstrators were creating with this stamp set. OH MY! I tell you the possibilities are endless. You can just stamp the images to create a scene or use your Aqua Painter (water brush) to go over the stamped images to create a more realistic watercolor creation. Here’s Waterfront Card #1:
DIY HOW TO:
Card stock cutting measurements:
Crumb Cake Card base: 11′ X 4 1/4 scored at 5 1/2″, Black mat layer: 3 7/8″ X 5 1/8″, Shimmer White: 3 3/4″ X 5″, Panel for inside of Card: 4″ X 5 1/4″
TIPS, TRICKS & REMINDERS:
- If you are going to use your Aqua Painter please use either watercolor paper, Thick Whisper White card stock or Shimmer Card stock. I used the Shimmer card stock because it has a slight shimmer and you can watercolor without the paper warping. If you use regular card stock, the water will cause your paper to warp.
- I used my Stampin Up! ink pads but you can certainly use your Stampin Write markers to add color to your stamps. Did you know that? You can’t use the Stampin Up! Blends since those markers are alcohol based and the ink would dry before you stamped it. Besides, the Waterfront stamp set is made of photopolymer and alcohol is not good for them.
If your order is over $30* and you use the use the MARCH Host Code: 2GZWVTM2 I have a surprise for you in your hand stamped thank you card!
