Happy Wednesday!

I’m starting early to create Easter cards because before I know it – April 1 will be here.  Today’s card features the “You’re Inspiring” stamp set.  This is another great set because it contains a set of large daffodils and this small image.  It also contains several sentiments, such as, “Kind thoughts for you,”You’re inspiring”, “Happy Birthday”, “Because of you, I am me.  Happy Mother’s Day.”  That’s 5 greetings in one set!  Here’s my card for today:

Stampin Up Easter Card, You're Inspiring Stamp Set

White Organza dyed with Stampin Blends

Did you know that you can dye the Whisper White Organza ribbon with the Stampint Up Blends markers?   Just use the Stampin Blend color of your choice and just color your ribbon.  In fact, I had already tied the bow and it just didn’t show up against the white cardstock.  I just colored the ribbon as it was tied.  It was easy and since the Stampin Blends are alcohol markers the ink dried very quickly.  Before you add it to your project make sure it’s dry.

I guess you can tell that I love the basket weave embossing folder because I used it again on this card.  I used my light and dark Daffodil Delight Stampin Blends to color the daffodils and the organza ribbon but used the So Saffron cardstock to emboss.  It’s a softer yellow than Daffodil Delight.  Don’t forget that the basket weave embossing folder is available for FREE with a qualifying order.  Need more info?  Just contact me or leave me a comment.

Here’s what I used to make my Easter Card.

TIPS, TRICKS & REMINDERS:

TIP:  You can dye your ribbon using the Stampin’ Up! markers but since they are water-based you will need to wait for the ribbon to dry before using.  You can speed up the drying time by using your heat tool to dry it.

Use the Memento ink when using the Stampin Blends to prevent color bleeding.  Bleeding is bad.

In case you missed yesterday’s post, remember when you use a Stampin Up! Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder remember to use ONLY one acrylic plate in your Big Shot.  The Dynamic Impressions embossing folders are thicker than the other embossing folders.  If you TRY to use 2 acrylic cutting plates you might break your machine!
