This was a fun card I CASED but changed it up to make it mine. This card could easily be a Valentine’s Day card, a Just Because Card and maybe even an anniversary card.
Isn’t this card so romantic? The Painted with Love Designer paper is gorgeous. I really love all the gold foil touches on these papers. The sentiment, “Love You” is from the “A Sara Thing” Paper Pumpkin kit. I’m sorry if you missed that kit becuase IMHO it’s the best to date. The kit came with an awesome stamp set, watercolor paper and free watercolor pencils. Anyway, back to the card. The heart stamp is from the Watercolor Words stamp set found in the Annual Stampin’ Up! catalog.
Did you notice that little red epoxy heart embellishment? Well, they only come in gold and clear t a package but I used a red Sharpie marker to color a clear one, waited for the marker to dry and BAM – I had a red epoxy heart. You can also use the new Stampin’ Up! Blends to color the epoxy embellishments since they are alcohol based. I don’t believe a water based marker will give you the desired results. Here’s a pic:
Here’s what I used to make this card.
I hope you liked today’s card and that inspires you to use what you have in your craft stash and most importantly have FUN! Don’t forget Sale-A-Bration is in effect now and ends March 31!
Thanks for stopping by and come back on Monday where I’ll share a non-traditional heart day card? What’s that? Come back Monday and find out!
