Happy Celebrations are always joyful and deserve a special card for the celebrant. Today’s card is quick and simple, but yet it has a pop of wow!
I used the Balloon Pop-Ups Thinlit dies to cut out the Sugarplum balloon but sadly, that die set is retiring on May 31 so if you need it you only have a few days left. But, good news – the Balloon Adventures stamp set is available in the new Stampin Up catalog. The Celebrations Duo Textured Impressions Embossing Folder will also be available in the new catalog.
The WOW on this card is the big embossed word, HAPPY on this card. To get that effect, place your whisper white cardstock into the Happy embossing folder and run it through your Big Shot machine. Once you’ve done that just use one of ink or paint brushstroke images to stamp over each letter. The deep embossed impressions in the word Happy will not “take” the ink, only the think letter outlines within the letters. Cool, huh?
Here is what I used to make this card:
It was really windy in Amarillo last night and there were tornadoes east of here. I must admit I was a little concerned for our safety. So, I started thinking about what items would I grab to take with me in case of a weather emergency. Yep, you guessed it – first items, treasured family photos, then second – my rubber stamps! Surely I couldn’t take EVERYTHING but I’d definitely take a few. Is that crazy? I choose to believe it’s passion. LOL!
Well, thanks for reading my blog. I’ve been working on cards and other paper projects with the new products. I can’t wait to show them to you!
